Summary: This little rascal does everything we expected it to do, and does it very simply. We use it almost exclusively for streaming video from Netflix. It's kind of amazing. Of course we don't have a new t.v. with the streaming built-in, hence the Roku.
Summary: I was very unsure to buy it at first, but in the end I did. I have read other reviews that are misleading. This is very easy to set up, you just connect it to a power outlet and the tv which is done through HDMI or AV, The picture quality was great for 720p Some of the great things that it does is...
Summary: I've been using the roku for over a year now and it's still the best. I refuse to pay for cable and this device solves that problem by allowing me to stream netflix, hulu and others easily. I've never had any problems with it and if it ever stops working I will buy a new one in a heartbeat.
Summary: I've had my Roku for about a year now and I love it. I have it attached wirelessly to my network in my bedroom. As my house is old and without much attic space in which to run wires, I appreciate the wireless.
Summary: I am returning this item. I have a small home which I have equipped with Wi-Fi via a D-Link Router. I have an iPhone and a laptop. Each of these items can locate and run off the Wii in the house, even outside on my patio or in the garage.
Do not buy this item from Roku direct, but from Amazon only

Summary: This player's streaming ability is acceptable, however, my player never worked properly right from the very start. I had to reboot the player practically each time I used it; it was always connected, and should not require a constant reboot.
Summary: ****APRIL 2013 UPDATE TO ORIGINAL MARCH 2012 REVIEW: A year later and going strong. Have about 200 channels loaded up including Amazon Prime which I have really enjoyed a lot as a Prime Member and plan to keep Prime another year. I still love this thing. No problems with it so far.
Summary: I purchased this because I wanted to cut my cable off. I was doubtful that there would be a lot to watch, but that was OK as I don't watch much TV anyway. Was I ever wrong. I signed up for Netflix, Hulu Plus, and of course I make use of Amazon Prime Instant Video also.
Summary: Hooking up the Roku player was pretty simple. It found my router...and several of the neighborhood routers as well. It connected easily, and updated itself. The video stream was of excellent quality.
