An Old Favorite Gets a New Skin - Popcorn Hour A-210 Reviewed

25 July 2011
  • Summary: In actuality, this upgrade feels a little like the original A-100 to A-110 refresh. More of the same, just slightly more. Back then it was DTS, this time is a flashy external appearance/passive cooling. Like the A-100 to A-110 upgrade, the A-210 brings minor improvements to an already excellent media player. If you want NMJ functionality, best to wait for the next processor upgraded revision, however. The A-210 is available from Popcorn Hour direct for $199.99US.

Popcorn Hour A-210

30 November 2010
  • Summary: Popcorn Hour media players never fail to win our respect. Comprehensive media playback, a comparatively simple user interface and well-built hardware make them easy to love. The A-210 doesn't move the game on much, but it's accomplished at what it does and we'd spend our own money on one in a heartbeat.
  • Pros: Picture quality; well built; plays everything.
  • Cons: Not the most beautiful UI in the world; expensive and awkward to buy.

Expert Review

29 June 2011
  • Cons: Ingen Wi-Fi, Alt for dyr, Rædsomt bruger-interface
