Summary: The box works (Unlike the Habitat box for which I am still trying to get my money back!). The one disappointment is that when I went onto Netflix it says that I have a free 30 day trial for it (this was not mentioned in the purchase information!
Summary: Bought this item to watch netflix on (cheaper than a PS2). Does what it says on the tin! Very compact unit, but as others have said, the remote is very tiny and not very good quality really compared to the unit itself. Easily lost i would expect.
Summary: 1. Works out of the box 2. Easy set up and connection but the interface is poor as you have to select one letter at a time from the on screen grid. 3. It is supplied with a horrible tiny fiddly remote control. 4. Philips TV remote can be used for navigation and control once the device is going. 5. Netflix direct connection is a joy, select the red button and previously entered account details allow instant connection. 6.
Summary: Nicely packaged small box which fits in nicely with the rest of my tv setup. Connects to the tv via hdmi and also has a USB port. I connected it wirelessly and was up and running Netflix in a few minutes. It has a very small remote which can easily be mislaid and may not be very useful if you have quite large hands. Overall a good product at a fair price.
Summary: Netflix has an increasingly good selection of things to watch, so this has proved very handy - I`m really impressed with how quick and easy to set up it was, once you get used to the remote control, and by the strength of the wifi connection. It`s a very small box, about four inches square, so will fit alongside your other boxes. It picked up my wifi signal quickly, and I`ve not had any problems at all when watching anything from Netflix.
Summary: It states on the instructions that it will play avi files via a usb. I can confirm it doesnt in any shape or form. I have to convert my files to mkv or something else to play them. I contacted help desk who states it does and to return if not happy but i am happy with the unit as i wanted it for Netflix and YouTube which it plays great, also the mkv files etc as well.
Summary: This media player is meant to attach to your TV and do two main jobs, and it does them well. You must supply your own HDMI cable and plug the box into a spare HDMI socket on your TV. Then use your TV's remote to switch its input to HDMI1, HDMI2, or wherever you have plugged the box in. When you first set up the unit, you allow it to join your home wireless network -- that is the only way the Philips box will attach to the Internet.
Summary: This is the fourth review and I tend to agree with all the other reviews. As they range from 1 star to 5 stars that sounds a little difficult you might think. OK then first the bad news: It is limited to Netflix, Youtube, and Facebook which leaves many glaring omissions especially BBC IPlayer and 4OD. The instruction booklet is one of the least helpful I've seen - set up instructions are in Chapter 5 !
