DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM!

  • Summary: Bought this product on January 1st 2013! Now for the last two months it freezes and you have to unplug the item from the mains to reset it, this takes about ten minutes, it happens now a few times a day, this is an expensive item and should not give any problems after this short time, I would not recommend this product at all.

Freeview only

Efilwol, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this hoping to use it with my Virgin Media set-top box, so that I could record programmes and rewind/fast forward through live pay TV services. But, they unit is only capable of receiving the channels provided by its built-in Freeview receiver. There seems to be no way to get it to connect up with the Virgin Media set-top box and receive the Virgin Media pay TV channels. In the end, I returned it and I will go back to recording Virgin Media via my PC.

  • Summary: Had the recorder for a while now, disappointing from Panasonic. No search facility on the EPG but the Panasonic TV has, internet app selection is rubbish, does not even do Google, no 5OD etc, an LG smart TV which a friend has knocks spots off this product, as doe the son's Sony. Conclusion..

Very disappointed, most illogical and annoying to use

  • Summary: This was un upgrade for me. I previously had a cheap model for many years and was happy. I was keen on more memory and Internet TV. The list of stupid things is long: 1. when browsing the TV programs you can't view the info of a specific program without having to click specifically to go on a separate page, so if the name of the programs don't mean much to you, there isn't a quick way to find out at a glance what's on offer.

would give 0 stars if it was possible

  • Summary: Bought this and was thrilled with it. Did everything we wanted & more but guess what--- 15 months on and 3 months out of guarantee it breaks up on recording and also if we are viewing tv through this tuner the picture will break up. Spoke to Panasonic who gave in depth instructions to 'solve' the problem except that it didn't.

Very limted capabilities - Avoid this.

ZSG, JB Hi-Fi

  • Excerpt: Sure it might record two programs at once, as most other units on the market do these days, but it fails on other features you would expect by todays standards. Plug and Play via a USB HDD is non-existent. You cannot simply watch multimedia files via a connected USB HDD. USB HDD's have to be registered to this unit which removes the ability to share media between devices ie: between a computer and the units internal storage for viewing.
