Obsolete device, see PTV3000 instead.

john guthrie, Amazon

  • Summary: This is an obsolete device and costs more than the HD PTV 3000 also sold by Amazon. Don't but it, buy the 3000 if you need one.

Works, and works well

Ryan Ellis, Amazon

  • Summary: Few times you buy something, plug it in and it just works. This did the trick. I have a Samsung Slate 7 tablet I use at work and it has WiDi on it. Thought I would grab this item so I could stream my TV from home to my Slate, then display the Slate on my work TV. Plugged in the WiDi box, which was as simple as an power adapter and single HDMI cable (was included too!). Opened the WiDi program on my Slate and it instantly found the adapter.

Great HDTV adapter for Intel's wireless display technology

Gus, Amazon
26 June 2012
  • Summary: I bought this HDTV adapter because it was among 3 of the recommended adapters when I bought my Sony Vaio Intel Core i5 laptop with Intel's new wireless display (WiDi) technology. I read mixed reviews on all 3 adapters but chose this one because it had better reviews and it was mid-priced. Installing it was a breeze; plug the power cable to an outlet and the HDMI cable to your HDTV. That's it!

Working great for me.

Chorn, Amazon
2 June 2012
  • Summary: This unit has worked well for me. Physical installation could not be easier, just hook up the HDMI and power, and done. I use this box 3-4 days a week and it has not let me down once so far. By far the hardest part was setting up the laptop. This is nothing to do with the Netgear box but Widi in general.

Works just fine...even though my Acer laptop's not on Netgear's list

Arlexitus, Amazon
14 May 2012
  • Summary: I was hesitant to buy this because of a few negative reviews and my Acer Aspire Timeline-X 5830TG-6642 laptop not being listed on Netgear's compatibility site. But it worked just fine right out of the box AND it works with my new (and also from Amazon) Onkyo HT-S7409 5.1-Channel Network A/V Receiver/Speaker Package .

Netgear Push-to-TV

JDIZZY, Amazon
13 February 2012
  • Summary: I purchased a new Lenovo laptop which came with an Intel® Wireless Display (WiDi). This feature wirelessly streams content from your laptop onto a big screen using this Netgear Push-to-TV adapter. I had no trouble getting this to work and am impressed with the ability to display on my big screen TV whatever I have on the laptop screen without a wire. Great for watching family pictures and videos. Isn't technology GREAT!

Awesome

Scott Wardingley, Amazon
2 February 2012
  • Summary: My new HP Laptop is not on the list of compatible Laptops but I took a chance. Out of box, easy set up. I did not update as recommended. My HP connected first try. My HP suggested a WIDI software update but I did not update since it was working perfect. My HP connects every time and I get a perfect Hi Def picture and sound every time. I saw that some people who updated firmware and software as recommended then had problems.

Works Great!

  • Summary: First of all I didn't have any problems setting this up and getting it to work. Secondly it really is one of the coolest tech devices I've purchased in a long time. It really works great an even though my Acer notebook only outputs 720p the picture still looks great(FYI the new PTV2000 1080p adapter supports 720p as well). Even my wife is very impressed with new gadget.
