Summary: NETGEAR wasted my time telling me that this was the product compatible with my computer. Well, it was not and after 5 hours with 4 NETGEAR reps/experts they finally confirmed what I knew. I had to return it to the seller. This was handled very poorly by NETGEAR.
Summary: I purchased this thinking that I had to have it. However after getting it all set up I was disappointed. The quality is ok but it just isn't that useful. I thought that I would use it all the time, but only ended up using it that one time when I set it up. I just didn't feel like it was a seamless transition from my computer to the television screen. This does work and will work for you. I just wonder if after you get it all set up it will still be worth the money.
Summary: Owning this product for over a year and, overall, its doing a good job. My laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad T510 and i mainly use it as a second screen. Only problem i have faced is that sometimes the sound echoes. It goes away when i cover the usb transmitter with my palm. I don't use it to view high definition content, but tried it out to test it. I played Skyfall from Netflix. The able to get 7.1 audio but the video was a little choppy sometimes.
Summary: We purchased 4 of these devices and have had 2 go bad in a 6 month period. Contacted Netgear support and was told yes the device has gone bad but they are sorry they do not have any they can send out to replace. They will call us when they do. Really!?!? So the warranty only applies if you have stock of the item and you don't do refunds? When the item works it works very well.
