Summary: The unit itself functions as advertized, however the remote has a conflict with the TV. I have not been able to resolve the conflict with the TV when I use the remote. I have to cover the sensor on the TV in order to keep the TV from going bonkers when I use the netgear remote.
Summary: I bought this for $18 somewhere else. YES $100 less and it was refurbished. I'm not plugging the other site so that's not what this is about but it does effect my review. For $18 this is a great player. Bur for $118 shop for something else. Pros: small, fast(ish) boot time, easy menus, plays well.
Summary: I was excited to see the price drop on this unit, thinking it worth the try. I already own an Iomega Screenplay HD (500GB) that must be at least two years old now. I got it for around $160 and bear in mind it is a 500GB USB HDD with built-in multimedia features.
Summary: First the pluses. It is simple to setup and very easy to use. It also has a nice assortment of sources for streaming. On the down side its output looks very soft on a HD TV. I have a PS3 and use PlayOn to stream a variety of sources like Hulu and Netflix.
