LaCie LaCinema Classic is a 500 GB multimedia hard drive that serves as a media streamer for TVs. The unit has Hi-Speed USB 2.0 (USB 1.1 compatible) interface and supports FAT32 MPEG-4 AVI, XviD, DivX (3.11, 4.x, 5.x) video format and MP3/WMA audio format. It also supports JPEG (includes HD-JPEG mode for improved quality) still photo format. The unit supports SRT, SSA, ASS, SUB, SMI subtitles. It supports composite video (cable included), HDMI (cable included and up-scaling to 1080p) and Stereo (L/R), digital coaxial SPDIF, HDMI v1.1 output for video and audio. It works on the PAL / NTSC TV system. LaCie LaCinema Classic requires 256 MB RAM of memory and 500 MHz processor (or greater) to operate and requires Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Vista™/ Mac® OS X / Linux based system with USB hard disk support/Windows® XP SP2, Windows Vista™ / Mac® OS X 10.3 or higher. This unit has features that allow it to be compatible with HDTV/SDTV (CRT).
