Summary: Looks very fair... I'd rather it looked fouler and felt fairer. I have had a myriad of problems with this, but I'm pretty sure most of them are due to overheating. This device runs VERY hot when the HDD is exercised. So playing HD movies and file transfers will easily cause it to freeze or fail to recognise files (it will report "File type not supported" for files that were playing happily just minutes before, so I guess this is a generic error message for any...
Summary: I bought the LaCinema Classic HD, but this machine is far to expensive for what it can do. To transfer large files you can not use the USB connection if you need a USB cable more than 5 meters. Only ethernet cable seems to be working (so the helpdesk told me, but they are telling differend stories everytime and everytime you get another person who is telling an other story).
Summary: Like many people, I was attracted to this media player due to the size of the hard-disk, ethernet and HDMI connections. I already owned a 1TB Lacie NAS and so was fairly confident to buy this brand a second time. I'm using the Lacinema to store most of my photo and video library and to play audio files through my hi-fi. It looks great and the GUI is clean and simple.
Summary: At first glance the device looks good, but all that glitz's is not gold! The sexy black box turns out to be flimsy gloss plastic surrounding a drive mechanism, it still looks OK however. The blue LED is not effective on a glass shelf - it shines straight through, and you cannot tell if the device is on or off. Anyway, that's knit picking.... The real issue I have is the limited codex's the device supports.
Summary: Ciao a tutti voi..
Cons: su alcune tv riproduce in bianco e nero, e pochi tipi di file . . l'ultimo firmware risale al 2009 . .
