Works great ... not sure what to expect from Support in the future

J. R. Burns, Amazon
17 March 2013
  • Summary: Purchased this before the LenovoEMC joint venture was announced. There seems to be new emphasis on consumer/small business storage; not clear about the fate of media players. Meets my needs very well.

Bad browser. Do not buy this product if you intend to use to browse the internet- It does not support my ext. USB hard drives

ABDUL A ELFARRAH, Amazon
23 January 2013
  • Summary: The order was made on Dec. 27, 2012. Per the tracking information, "wrong address". The original shipment went unclaimed due to being sent to the wrong address (The seller did his best. no fault of the seller). The seller was kind enough to re-send the package as a priority mail, which arrived yesterday.

Great little device but...

Amazon Customer "Dr. Carter", Amazon
15 December 2012
  • Summary: I think this is a great little product except for one thing. I wish it would pickup a movie from where it left off. I use a program to backup my DVDs to a Terabyte hard drive. This device will read the movies in the VOB format which is great! However if you stop the movie and turn off the device then come back to the movie the next day you have to begin at the beginning.

Does not play video files listed

E. Miller "F O X .D I E", Amazon
29 November 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this for the sole reason that on all the sites I looked, even the Iomega site, said this device could play .MKV video files. Well when I hooked everything up and set it up on my network to stream videos from my computer to my TV the .MKV files would not show. I went to Iomega site and found out that they say it supports some .MKV but not all. To me this seems like a blatant case of false advertisement from the company.

Iomega tv

Indy, Amazon
16 November 2012
  • Summary: This device was not exactly what I expected, I bought it for the wireless and online experience it offered. Unfortunately I have a problem with it locking up when I use the YouTube app. And sometimes when I'm streaming video from a local computer. All in all it does pretty well but I keep hoping they will come out with a firmware update that will fix some of the problems it has.

Don luu, Amazon
3 November 2012
  • Summary: This is my 2nd unit I bought and this device works like I expected, except one weird thing that I have to change the word video_ts to capital VIDEO_TS so the device can read my video content.Hope they can fix that on the next update driver.

almost useless

Stan, Amazon
3 July 2012
  • Summary: I bought it in Fnac Belgium for 120 EUR. It is pure disappointment: a) cannot play all youtube files: it says "Video is not available", b) cannot register this device for Divx VOD although manufacturer claims that it can be done, c) the device gets so hot that I think it can cause fire at home if left turned on and without attendance.

Does exactly what I wanted

Jessica J. Boldosser "Jessica", Amazon
26 June 2012
  • Summary: I wanted access to my digital media wirelessly and access to Netflix on my television. Success. I plugged in my Seagate Goflex HD into my wireless router. I was able to locate my media and play it on my television. I am able to enjoy Netflix, which works perfectly. I'm also able to access various other services on the device. All access is wireless, something I was impressed with. There are a few downsides to this product.
