S. Jentsch, Amazon
20 December 2012
  • Summary: When I received this device, I was interested in its potential, and unfortunately, the reality of what it delivered was so underwhelming that I completely forgot to write a review for it.

Not supporting multi-language subtitles

M. Kim, Amazon
15 April 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this to watch movies thorough my Epson projector EX70. Also I wanted to replace my external HDD drive. However, I had to deal with disappointments. It basically doesn't support multi-language subtitles which is one of the most important things for me. So I returned it.

Good idea, executed poorly

Mommyx4, Amazon
26 December 2010
  • Summary: The concept seems perfect: large external storage combined with an HD media player. Unfortunately, it does not work that well. First and foremost (for me), it is limited to Windows -- Mac users, beware. This thing will NOT work with files that you rip on a Mac.

freezing of a video scene leads to the freeze of the entire unit

viarancho, Amazon
24 October 2010

A long way to go

Jon, Amazon
12 February 2010
  • Summary: Although this seems to play most formats it completely fails to play a DVD folder - the format most of my videos are - so I am ripping out the hard drive and putting the case unit to pasture and buying an XTreamer.

The OS got corrupt during a transfer

freakeycr, Amazon
12 February 2010
  • Summary: It started working ok when connected to the TV. IT doesn't read subtitles in sync, so I had to convert my videos and embed the subtitles. I bought the wi-fi antenna and started sending files over the network. One day, it stopped working.

Don't bother!

Ubad, Amazon
12 February 2010
  • Summary: Avoid this product! One of the products I sincerely regret buying. The specs sound very impressive and this would be a very good product if it worked as advertised. Slow to boot up, flaky WiFi network connection even after buying the expensive Iomega network adapter for this product.
