Summary: Bought this to replace my (soon to be redundant) FM/AM tuner. Decided to skip the DAB generation and go straight to internet radio. -FM/AM still an option with this unit. Initial setup was a bit complicated, having gone the wireless route. On powering up, one is sent into a menu system that is a bit confusing and didn't seem to match the quick setup guides. After a few minutes wait (as the tuner did it's stuff) the unit booted up and all was well with the world.
Summary: I wanted to connect to Internet radio, to be able to play music and listen to other things from my Mac using a wireless connection to my network. It does just that. The only problem that I have had was initially making the wireless connection in the first place.
Summary: I bought this because André in Brighton recommended it over a DAB tuner costing £100 more. The FM bit sold me and the knowledge that internet BBC is usually better quality than DAB BBC. This turns out to be oh so true. So I have managed to miss out the DAB generation in my hi-fi system. (We do have DAB elsewhere, but not for serious listening.
Pros: sound quality is better than dab , easy tio setup internet access.
Cons: far from intuitive control. , clunky website to set up internet stations.
