Summary: I had hoped to rip my DVD collection and play back from the NAS to this device - not going to happen with this version. Tech Support via phone is not reachable. Email tech support tries - but do not answer the question posed.
Pros: The device works well for music.
Cons: Does not play back VOB/IFO files reliably. It seems to play VOB - but then mid-stream quits.
Summary: When it's working, it serves my needs well. When it loses it's mind and can't find files, I want to drop-kick it.
Pros: It generally handles all the files I care to play (mainly mp3, avi, mpg, and vob). I run across a wired connection, so when it can find the files it streams fine on my 2GHz machine.
Cons: The software can be EXTREMELY frustrating at times, such as when it is "unable to access this folder" when it played from that folder ten minutes ago. The server software has a lot of quirks, but gets the job done. Doesn't seem to be able to navigate down too many subdirectories (character limit ...
Summary: Overall it is a somewhat decent player. For the price you may just be better off and build a HTPC. If the interface could be cleaned up and the wireless a little more robust it would be a pretty good product.
Pros: Plays nice amount of different video formats. Pretty easy to setup and works with multiple media servers. HDMI hookup.
Cons: Wireless is spotty at best. Even with an excellent signal I was not able to play HD content reliably. Slow moving interface thats looks like it belongs in 1996.
