S. ATA, Amazon

  • Summary: I have been using this device for a year. The biggest advantage of this device is that it is wife compatible, very very easy to use. The box does not have an internal HD and depends on a running PC,laptop. It has the ability to connect any PC that runs the Divx Software around and stream multimedia.

  • Summary: Lovely piece of kit. However, prospective purchasers may want to know that the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 do this job, though not quite as well. The PS3 especially is great - it works wirelessly and streams a video to your tv pretty quickly.

Good at streaming DIVX but nightmare to set up - might be worth waiting to see what else comes out

  • Summary: Ok, I have a 54meg wireless network that is secured with WPA-PSK, SSID is hidden and only allowed MAC addresses can connect to the network. If you have similar, you will end up going through the whole process of trying to set up to be told that the device cannot connect.
