Summary: I was expecting this to be better to be honest. The main reason I bought it was for watching youtube, netflix and being able to view IPad content on TV. It has a lot of other functionality that I'm not as interested in as I rarely use ITunes, or buy/rent movies through the apple store etc. I would have been happy enough if it performed the above tasks well.
Great improvement on the previous one, but the whole idea is getting redundant

Summary: Had a first generation Apple TV that died in less than a year, it's replacement lasted longer, but eventually kicked the bucket as well. When we bought the first one - because our DVD rental store had closed - it was a bit of a disappointment because there was little film or TV content on iTunes at the time - something that has certainly changed now. This version is much smaller, lighter and about a third the cost of the original.
Summary: A classic bit of Apple tech. Perfectly functional, and streams things like Netflix with amazing picture quality and detail. problem is, same as most apple products, you can only access and use services of files that apple approves. Any videos that you have made yourself will need to be converted to Apple format to be used. Unnecessary and time consuming. No option to expand functions or install other apps. Only works with iTunes.
Summary: I have been using Apple TV stream both Netflix and iTunes movies, as I like the idea I can view any movie at any time... Streaming from iTunes has worked flawlessly, which is good.. The only downside it gets quite expensive to get new movies (especially HD), so I decided to get a Netflix account.. The Netflix (Uk), issue being watching a HD movie the system will stop streaming up to a couple times a movie..
