Good for streaming
29 September 2015
Summary: If you're into gaming and/or apps, you'll need to go with the latest version at twice the price. However, for streaming movies and tv programming without any of the other bells and whistles, this is still the smartest choice. We also have a Roku 3 and the Apple is definitely more stable.
Pros: Intuitive interface Stable Excellent video and audio quality Good selection of content
Summary: Great product, but stopped working 2 weeks out. This is the second Apple TV to stop working. The first was out of warranty. Apple did replace the second faulty unit with a new one in a timely fashion. Tech support did their best to resolve the issues, but could not.
Pros: Program access. Easy to use. Compact size. Good service/support.
Summary: This is my second Apple TV box. What I like is that I can stream identical content to both at the same time, so a group of people can be in the living room and another in the media room watching the same movie. The new $69 price point is great.
Summary: Had an older apple tv previously and was skeptical about buying one without a hard drive (as they used to come). Could have been happier. Set up was easy, and this version offered many more options and consistent air play. My last one made mirroring other devices a bit difficult.
Pros: Quick Set up Mirroring with no problem Small footprint Seemingly no interference with any other components
Summary: This is a great product if you have other apple products. The best feature is the PhotStream, Apple Airplay. They airplay feature is just amazing and simple to use. About the only drawback is that it that it does not support a lot of formats like the WD Live but what it does it does really well.
