Summary: I ordered the Apple TV MC572LL/A (2nd Generation) and paid 300.00. When I recieved the package the outside non-factory plastic was covering the actual model number for the apple T.v. When I opened it I noticed it was the 3rd generation apple T.V. I wrote a review and they replied that and I quote. “This order was fulfilled by Amazon and their warehouse sent the customer the wrong product.
Excerpt: Stock, this product was very limited as i'm not one to use the itunes store for everything i need. Netflix would always pause to buffer, which had never been a problem for my PS3. Airplay on the other hand was relatively great and simple to use. Over-all if I rated this as if i'd use it straight...
Excerpt: It's time to say good buy to Apple TV !! with the new operating system Apple OS X Mountain Lion the only future that i was happy about in this part of the word was the Air Play, the rest of the function is not activated in in this part of...
Summary: It's a great looking box, like all Apple products. The features fill my needs exactly. But, it is terrible at maintaining a connection to my wireless network. Of course there's the option of moving it closer to my router, or worst case, hardwiring it. But, I had a Playstation3 filling the role of streaming Netflix that was located in exactly the same place and it rarely dropped the connection, maybe once every few weeks and it would come right back.
Pros: Stream iTunes library and Netflix to home entertainment center. Love the small, discreet design. Easy set-up.
Cons: Fails to stay connected to my wireless network for more than 10 minutes and restarting takes several minutes of clicking through menus. Incredibly annoying and almost unusable for the purpose I purchased it.
Excerpt: As CheapyD from Cheap Ass Gamer famously said, "Even my toilet gets Netflix." So why get an AppleTV? I picked one up as a cool gift for my Dad, who is impossible to shop for. It ended up being so useful for sharing photos from our iPhones when we get together as a family, I got one for my sister,...
Excerpt: Ok, I got one of these little things the other day with the XBMC hack with all the sky sports channels and the movies. I have it hooked up to my NAS and it all works rather effortlessly which is more a XBMC thing rather than the APPLE design. The ROWMOTE from the app store is awesome as well.
Excerpt: If you're the type of person that doesn't mind being locked into the Apple ecosystem and iTunes, then chances are you're probably going to love the Apple TV. It's absolutely tiny and super sleek, and looks great as a companion to any TV. As with all Apple products, bundled accessories are...
Summary: Got it, hooked it up. It took me a dozen trips back and forth to the den to figure out how to set up my wifi on the tethered iMac (So SOOO many steps, thank god for the internet). Once hooked up it does basically what it says it does. Buffering/Loading of videos takes far too long. I bought it so that I could do my workouts with the youtube videos I like.

Summary: The Apple tv with the latest update 4.4.2 completely integrates ipad 2, itunes store, netflix streaming and your own media on your computer. Here is a list of items you can do. 1. Watch netflix streaming in a fast, easy to use interface that has an amazing style only apple could do. Its sleek and very nice. 2. Watch the podcasts you love on itunes right from the apple tv. It even tells you when new episodes are available of your favorites. 3.
Excerpt: The Apple TV is a really solid product for the price. It's unobtrusive, easy to use, and fits well within my entertainment system. It would be great if it would connect to more services (ie: Amazon streaming), but the Netflix integration is good -- I like watching Netflix on the Apple TV over the...
