The Apple TV which we review, is a nice compliment if you have a lot of videos or music in your iTunes library. If you have been iTunes-free, skip the Apple TV. Read more

    • Easy to use and setup; supports ethernet and WiFi, most video content looks good
    • High price; gets very hot; cables not included; support few video formats; needs some fine polish overall

Subtle, sexy and slim, Apple TV is almost everything a telly-loving Mac-head could wish for. Only its file format fussiness, average HD quality and high price (without even a HDMI cable to show for it) might disrupt Steve Jobs’ plans for world domination. Read more

    • Apple doesn’t play well with others. Apple TV can’t show DivX, XviD or WMV files natively, although the Boxee upgrade takes care of that. Apple’s definition of HD also...

As we've come to expect from Apple , this media streamer is tied to iTunes and its corresponding media formats: the obvious disadvantage is that if you already use other media player software on your computer, you're going to have to jump through some hoops to get your media on Apple TV, most likely including converting your movie files – which is annoying. • A genuine joy to use; vast array of great-quality downloadable content available on-demand; excellent sonic performance
    • Store downloads aren’t cheap; limited to iTunes-friendly file formats

If you are the kind of person who enjoys being in the curl of the wave or on the crest of the wave, the Apple TV 160GB is for you. Granted, the Apple TV is a console and you need a compatible high definition display or HDTV with compatible HDMI video and audio or DVI or component inputs. Read more

So far I love this product. I have only had it a couple of hours but it is awesome. Especially since you can rent net flix movies from it if you have a net flix account. So now since I got a Samsung Blue Ray player that can get net flix as well, I can watch movies in my bed room and living room any time I want and very easily at that. Read more
