Star Wars: Empire at War

Star Wars: Empire at War is a real-time strategy video game developed by Petroglyph and published by LucasArts. It was released for Mac OS X on April 2, 2007. It is rated as Teen (T), Fantasy Violence by ESRB.

Features

The Empire at War focuses on the fictional battle between the Empire and the Rebels in between Episode III and Episode IV. There are five different game modes featured namely Space, Land, Storyline-Campaign, Galactic Conquest and Multiplayer. Space and Land modes are featured in Skirmish mode. In land skirmishes, all players start with bases, and must research upgrades and capture resource nodes, while ultimately destroying the enemy's base. In space skirmish, the base is replaced with a space station that can be upgraded. Besides that, the players buy ships to attack the enemy with, until the enemy space station is destroyed or the enemy forces are destroyed. Also, players enable to advance in technology levels in order to access powerful ships as more money gains. Meanwhile, as for Galactic Conquest,, it is a the sandbox campaign. In this mode, players control the struggle for freedom with the Rebel Alliance, or galactic domination with the Empire. The galactic map on-screen displays grand strategy, production, and resource management. Players receive funds from controlled planets to research, build defences, and train troops. Furthermore, each planet confers different advantages to its owner, although some bonuses are specific to a faction. Also, the Campaign in another hand follows a semi-open linear path, where the given side must complete mission objectives (such as stealing X-wing prototypes) in sequence.

  • Why is no one ever on multiplayer? It's a great game!

It would be really fun to play someone online, but no one ever is! I saw one person online, right as I clicked the command quit button on my keyboard. I was so mad, because I logged back in, and no one was there, AGAIN. I tore one of my stuffed animals in half.... poor Fluffy....

It’s very hard to play on the multiplayer
