How a great game becomes a great flop

Summary: Now, I have played Civilization since the early times, since there was no numbers and it was just called "Civilization". The game is great, as usual and combine the best of Civilization and of Alpha Centaury. Everything is there. But the whole fun becomes a terrible thing in Aspyr version for Mac.
Summary: Just got to say that this in one hell of a game if you can actually get it to run perfectly so don't be put off the game by other reviews. I have a Mac G5 and all the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game except for speed, which i fall very slightly behind the recommended speed,...
Summary: I bought CIV4 for Mac as it is an amazing game! I have played all previous games but not this one yet. The video chip set required I think is more than I have on my MacBook so I am a little in the dark as to how to solve this?? How do you get a new video chip set? Thanks

Summary: I am new to Macs, having decided to trade-up following an iphone and ipad purchase. I was cautious about buying a mac as I wasn't sure about game-play, even though I only play about 2 or 3 games, Civ IV being one. I have to say that i'm disappointed.
Summary: I just thought I'd just add my 2 cents worth in case people have been put off by the technical problems others have experienced. I'm running the game on Mac OS X version 10.5.5 and haven't suffered any major issues that would cause problems with game play.
Summary: I bought this for the PC when it came out and spent many weeks playing, and when I bought my iMac I decided to buy it again. An excellent port. However, do go to the Aspyr website and install the patch before playing. I would recommend adding the Warlords expansion pack.
Summary: After reading several bad reviews for Civ IV i thought i should write my own. So okay, i run the game on my old iMac G5 and i have no problems, sure it's a little slow at times but when you have an old machine you have to expect that.
Summary: I liked CivII and when i bought a mac looked around for a sure fire game that woud play on the mac - this was it. It does have some technical problems though - on my iMac it works fine - but on my macbook (not as powerful but above the specs required) it has problems after a few hours of gameplay.
Summary: It may or may not work on your system but that doesn't really matter, because it is the worst civilisation game ever made. It is unbelievably easy. I think it has been designed for 6 year olds.
