Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is a strategy simulation video game developed by Frontier Developments and published by Atari and Steam. It was released for Mac OS X and also Windows platforms on October 26, 2004 in North America and November 5, 2004 in Europe. It only allows single player mode. This is the third game in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series that based on amusement park simulation and a sequel to RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. It is rated ‘Everyone’ by ASRB and 3+ by PEGI.

Features

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 requires players to manage amusement parks as well as adding and removing rides, food stalls, paths, scenery and adjusting prices to fulfil set goals and ensure the satisfaction of park visitors. Besides that, the game also features Coaster Cam that allows players to experience the rollercoaster themselves; and the MixMaster that enables players to coordinate and play firework shows and music. In addition, it also features day and night cycle changes as teenagers would mostly ride at night and meanwhile the daytime is majored by families and children. Furthermore, in this series, it has opening and closing times; which is displayed on the screen. Sceneries featured in the game include western-, spooky-, science fiction- and adventure-themed pieces. Also, it allows user to import previous theme park from previous series into the Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. There are two game play modes offered namely Career Mode and Sandbox Mode. The Career Mode requires players to accomplish certain goals set to enable players heightens their ranks at Apprentice, Entrepreneur and Tycoon; and the Sandbox Mode enables players to freely build an amusement park from a given empty plot and unlimited funds.
