Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is a first-person shooter (FPS) computer game developed by 2015, Inc. and created by Steven Spielberg. It is the 3rd installment of the Medal of Honor series. The game, based on the Quake III Arena engine with modifications from Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. simulates infantry combat in the European and North African Theaters during World War II. In the game the player takes on the role of Lt. Mike Powell of the United States Army Rangers who works for the OSS. Single player missions include assaulting German bases in Algiers and Norway, storming Omaha Beach on D-Day, and rescuing comrades behind enemy lines in occupied France. This game requires Mac OS X 10.1 or later, 450MHz PowerPC G3 processor or higher (flat-panel iMac, gigabit ethernet PowerBook), 256MB of RAM, and 16MB graphics card (ATI Rage 128 or Radeon, or NVIDIA GeForce2 MX or higher). It has an ESRB T/ELSPA 15+/PEGI 12+ rating.

Features

This Mac version of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault improves performance in Mac OS X as well as fixes crash bugs including a dual-processor problem. It also adds 3D sound functionality, fixes configurations files and contains numerous bug fixes including some crashes and rendering problems, and adds support for more monitor resolutions. The full list of bug fixes are in “Version History” text files installed with the patch.
