Summary: Great game but you really need to stick with it. I got a bit cheesed off with the constant darkness, but it's worth it. Hell is awesome! For what this costs, go get it ! Its fun, damn scary and will consume your life for a week - All good fun. Try and play on a decent Mac with dedicated graphics, its demanding my old G5 was cool with this.
Summary: My primary reason for posting this review is to confirm that it does indeed work with Snow Leopard (in my case, 10.6.6). However, there may be an issue with OpenAL that causes sound FX frequently not to be played, and may cause the game to crash to the menu screen when loading new levels. If you can live without the EAX emulation (which is admittedly a nice feature; it increases the sense of immersion greatly) then this game runs just peachy.
Summary: This game is like seeing a comic book come to life. I loved the classic Doom, Doom 2 and Final Doom's when I was a child, and playing this brings back all the memories. Not only has this game got damn good graphics, the it's the sound that finishes it off. Subtle noises throughout the game make it terrifying to play.
Summary: When i received this game, i first installed it. The installation works well, but then i tried playing the game and it doesn't work. I have asked the seller for a refund or another one but he won't reply my message.
Summary: I originally got this game for Christmas 2005 and spent many evenings blasting monsters alone in my flat (waiting for a flooded kitchen to be repaired!) The graphics really are spectacular and the game is very scary, more so in the early stages when you are hunting around for an exit and with under-powered weapons.
Summary: We're all very familiar with the first-person shooter but Doom 3 certainly takes some beating. The atmosphere generated in the game is great and I can't fault the graphics or sound. If I had one little niggle, is that there is scant action for the first few levels. But overall, a fine game.
Summary: This has to be one of the best games of all time without a doubt! Multiplayer lacks a little bit on both graphics and interactivity with the world, and this game would be thouroughly awesome if it used the same world destructability engine used by EA's 'Black'. Love it.
