Waste of $...Really!

Anonymous, Newegg
6 November 2013
  • Summary: I recommend that you look for free maps and free map-scripts for civ 5, not this; this is a waste of money for which there is no refund. What a pathetic thing to have bought only a "name" that sounds so cool but is in reality so entirely LAME: "scrambled nations map pack" better named "worthless...
  • Pros: new maps is the promise of it, so I bought a promise, that is all I bought, except for the fact that they are "maps"
  • Cons: these maps are not ocean-enclosed maps but rather end at the end of the monitor screen--no live interaction between seas surrounding landmasses and landmasses. This is a great mistake. Whether we are dealing with a segmental map of the mideast or africa, the inability to interact with the surroun...

Annie, Amazon
5 August 2013
  • Summary: At first it was very difficult to install. It tokk me 2 days to figure it out and spent hours downloading "stream". But when it finally worked, I can say it is a great game even if a little complex at first.

Adding, without crushing.

Martin Pohu, Amazon
29 December 2012
  • Summary: This new version of Civilization offers interesting new features like the cities-states and the all-new battle system who require more organisation and strategy. The socials and religious options (with the Gods ans Kings expansion) allow a much better customisation of your civilisation as it grows...

Great game - loads of extras

Glenn Stokes, Amazon
17 July 2011
  • Summary: My advice is to be cautious of NeuroSplicer's review of this game as it's a misleading appraisal. In fact, I'm lead to doubt the reviewer has even bought this game as this is the Mac version and he talks about his PC system.

Works OK on i5 iMac and i7 MacBook Pro

Mr. J. Mortimer, Amazon
17 July 2011
  • Summary: I have the Steam version (which I gather is identical to this one, as users end up downloading it from Steam anyway), with all of the expansions as they were on special offer at the time with the main game.

BRUTALLY UNCIVILIZED

NeuroSplicer, Amazon
17 July 2011
  • Summary: The working relationship between a game designer and his publisher is never a simple one. So I would not know where exactly to place the blame, Sid Meyer or 2K GAMES. But in the end, it does not matter. Because it is simply sad to see a great gaming franchise came to this.
