IMAC i7 works well with this game

Summary: After Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty 2, I was hooked and had to buy the first Call of Duty (deluxe) After I install the latest patch (not easy to find) it ran well on my IMAC i7. Before I did the latest patch it locked up a few times and became stuck. After the latest patch it locked up only twice and restarting game allowed me to play all events and ending. If you enjoyed COD4 and COD2 this game while much older still is fun and worth the playing time.
Summary: I have a Mac Book Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.7 that this particular batch of disks would not run on,(hence the low price). Aspyr sent me a patch that eventually fixed the problem. A tech told me that these disks shouldn't even be on the market. Had I known this problem, I would have looked else ware. Ask Aspyr which batch of disks to stay away from. Aside from not being able to play the game right out of the box, this is my favorite game of all time.
Summary: Although the graphics may not be up to date, the intensity and fun of "Call of Duty" makes up for it all. The campaigns are fun, but the multiplayer is what does it the most. I highly recommend this game.
Summary: I have total fun playing this game. Playing Call Of Duty is like being part of a great story with some historical points throughout the game. The music for Call Of Duty is scored with the right tempo and theme and is an important part of the story, as well as all games should. The graphics are fantastic and should be played above the recommended system requirements to get the maximum effect for game. As always be sure that you have all the updates BEFORE you play.
Summary: I have lost count of how many times I have played Call of Duty! I just love this game. I had first played this on Windows, so after I bought my new Mac I wanted to try it out on Mac as well. I was not disappointed. Pros: ~ Excellent gameplay (you do not have to compromise on the game or graphics just because you are playing on Mac) ~ Very fast (might be due to my new Mac) ~ good value for price Cons: ~ A few of the levels has errors, so that you cannot play those or they...
Summary: I could not get this game to function. I researched this game after purchasing it and it seems that many others have the same problem. Other games from the same publisher, like Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4 work flawlessly. I am not a computer novice-I have more than 20 years experience in computers and run the entire network where I work. In short, don't waste your money.
Summary: As a fan of both Call of Duty 2 and 4, I looked forward with high anticipation to the COD 2 expansion. More scenarios, vehicles etc. While it has those, it also has a horrible propensity to freeze. When you restart, it's back to the opening of the scenario. When it's working, it tough and terrific. But mostly you're waiting for the freeze, and loss of the game-so-far.
Summary: I played the demo on a PC and decided that I had to have this for my Mac. I don't play a lot of games and I am a new Mac user as well. This plays great on my new MacBook Pro, 2.6 GHz, 4 Gb RAM, 512 video RAM, 200 Gb 7200 rpm drive, 17 -inch glossy screen Hi-Res. Smooth video and action. No problems what so ever. I'm very pleased.
