As advertised but focal issues.

  • Summary: Combined with the kit 24-85mm Nikon on my D600. It takes closer macro pictures attached to the 24-85 but my cheap Nikon P510 camera takes more crisp photos at the same macro level. When used as a fisheye lens it takes a significantly wider photo than without. But it loses some of the focal crispness of the 24-85 and you would be better off simply taking a panorama and stitching together. However, I will still use it occasionally for fun photos for the fisheye effect.

Surprisingly good quality for $27

  • Summary: I bought this lens to see how the lower priced lenses are built, then move up to a better one later. I am usually quick to downplay Chinese quality, but this lens is great. Upon viewing through the viewfinder, the edges are crisp and straight with no distortion anywhere, and there is no vignetting at all at the corners. Also, this lens allows for very close macros as close as 1 1/2 inches! Seems a bit heavy, but maybe they all are.

You get what you pay for...

Joezef K. Pangaea, Amazon

  • Summary: ...and in this instance you pay little money for a lot of chromatic aberration (three color blurry fringes on the edges of the frame.) Have to pick and choose where I'll use this lens adapter, because it's terrible at the fringe. But I didn't expect much for the low price. Solidly built, but with cheap glass.
