Terrible Add On Lens

HoodPhoto, Amazon
18 July 2015
  • Summary: Total waste of money. As the other reviewers have said, this product has terrible distortion. There is no way to get a crisp, clear photo. The edges are vignetted terribly. Awful all around.

Interesting concept.

Kenneth R. Knipper, Amazon
16 March 2014
  • Summary: I felt it was worth looking into and it looks well made. I haven't had an opportunity to use it and will have to learn when and where it can be used.

Flawed design, worse product ever

cyclopathic, Amazon
22 December 2010
  • Summary: Though packaged in 58mm body the actual bottom lens is 32mm - they used the same optics as on 37mm version ZE-3537T. Due to this edges of the image are darkened to ~50% at wide angle, and it makes it impossible for camera to focus at zoom. Completely useless even as a paperweight.

horrible Chromatic aberration

laneli, Amazon
4 October 2010

Indoors all photos turned out too dark (but that might be due to my lack of photographic experience), outdoors I had severe visible chromatic aberration - and not just when I zoomed into the picture but just looking at it at 30% or so.

Very hard to focus

AMS, Amazon
7 May 2010
  • Summary: This lens does the job - great magnification IF you can get a correct focus. However I rarely can do that on my two Olympus cameras - neither of them really high end. I don't regret buying this - it wasn't that expensive and can be made to work sometimes - but it isn't something I carry around with...

NAB, Amazon
6 March 2012
  • Summary: I got this lens today and first tried with 75-300mm lens. When the object is fully zoomed picture get really blurred. Very disappointed and even thought returning the item. Then I tried with 18-55mm lens.
