Summary: I read all the reviews and purchased this lens assuming it was going to be the same as all the other lenses. I was searching for that "look" (quality of work). I'd know when I found it and I did!! The Tokina AT X DX 16mm- 135mm has amazing sharp picture quality and it's very easy to use!! Thank you so much!!
Summary: I had made a decision to buy the Canon 60D. I wasn't happy with the prospect of getting stuck with a lens picked out by Canon so I opted for purchasing the body only. I looked through a number of lenses and was turned off by the Canon offerings in the $300 range. I read someone's comment on lens manufacturer's which stated that Tokina was a start-up of former Nikon engineers and they produced high quality lenses and placed their price points below Canon and Nikon.
Summary: I just bought this for my Canon T3i. This len is simply awesome! I'm so glad I bought it. It comes with 2 caps, 1 hood, and the auto focus will work on the T3i. I just don't understand why it's only $299, I believe it should value more than that.
Summary: Purchased this lens after trying out a few in the 'budget' bracket for my Canon 550d, including the Sigma and Tamron 18-200, Canon 17-85 and Canon 18-135. The range of this lens is perfect for what I want it for; an all rounder with a bit of a wider angle for scenic shots. The lens, for the £199 I paid is fantastic. It feels really solid, takes beautiful pictures, comes with a petal hood and a 2 year warranty.
