If you want a macro lens for a fair price, this is it

Summary: I don't bought the Tamron from this photo, this is a older version, I have bought the Tamron F004, the new version of 90mmm. I would want to buy a macro lens, but the Nikkor lens are so expensive, then I started a search for a lens cheaper. And I found this lens. And I'm really happy! For macro or not, this lens is so good, the images are sharper on macro and the bokeh is amazing on portraits.
I have entered into the world of "Macro" and I am excited all over again.

Summary: I own a Nikon D90. I wanted to get into macro photography but could not afford the Nikon 105mm. After researching for months I decided on the Tamron SP 272E 90mm 2.8 AF Di Lens. It has a built in motor (be careful as I have seen some 272E 90mm that do not have a built in motor). If the box is displayed on the site look for the (Bult In Motor words on the box). I cannot overemphasize that some 272E lens do not have a built in motor.
Summary: This is an excellent macro lens. Works perfectly with my Nikon D7000, sharp and easy to use (Macro photography has its unique difficultys and needs to be practiced to get good pictures). Very good construction quality and optics.
