Summary: Amazing lens! I have always wanted to get into Macro Photography, and upgrading my gear was something that was hard for my pocketbook. That being said, I decided to choose the Tamron lens over the Nikon lens because of the price and it's reputation from past reviewers.
Excerpt: This lens is amazing. I'm able to get just a few inches from my subject and take beautiful, sharp and detailed images. The auto focus is a bit louder than I'm use to, but the quality of my images more than makes up for that small annoyance. The bokeh it creates is just as beautiful also.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh
Summary: buy this if you are doing macro work, or want a good portrait lens. You can stop the lens down to f/32 which helps keep the DOF wider. The autofocus is loud, so I'd say this lens is more suited for fine manual focusing. I use this on my A7 with the EA4 adapter, and it's really awesome!
Excerpt: I shoot fashion and beauty only - and this lens in particular I love for shooting accessories and jewelry. Great contrast and razor sharp lines… in tight on an ear or finger or full length… with a nice and narrow depth.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
