Tamron 200-500 f5.0-6.3 DI Lens for Nikon

Summary: Purchased this lens from Amazon after reading some very good reviews. As my mother always said ..don't believe everything you read. This lens has a very limited use. Static images ..definitely not for nature photogs. Extremely disappointed in the performance. Could not even track a squirrel. The bokeh was horrible as well.
Summary: I bought this lens on a Saturday and brought it back on Sunday. In the first place the lens is huge and hard to handle even on a tripod. I found I had to lock down my tripod as tight as I could get it to keep it steady. That wouldn't have been bad except that the version I had at least, was soft at 500mm even at shutter speeds of 1/1600th of a second on a tripod.
Excerpt: I've had this lens for about 2 years now and have used it on 3 Alphas, A100,A700 and A900. I have yet to get shot that is spot on focus even with the micro-adjust available with the A900. The color is faded and the contrast is poor from this lens.
