Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF - Review / Test Report

photozone.de
24 April 2009
  • Conclusion: The Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF left us unimpressed regarding its performance. There's a significant amount of barrel distortions at all focal lengths, CAs are rather high, even stopped down and the resolution figures at the borders are somewhat disappointing, especially in the extreme corners.

Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF - Review / Test Report

  • Conclusion: The Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF left us unimpressed regarding its performance. There's a significant amount of barrel distortion at all focal lengths, CAs are rather high at the shortest focal length, as is vignetting. The resolution figures at the borders are ok, but the extreme corners are disappointing, at least at larger apertures. Stopped down, however, the corners resolution reaches levels, which may be sufficient for most use cases.
