Fantastic value for money and great results
5 March 2013
Summary: I purchased this lens as I have been wanting one for a while now and have been extremely happy with it. I am yet to find anything that I am not happy with. Love the ease of use and the results I have achieved since purchasing this lens. I have a very limited lens collection but in comparisson to the ones I do own this one is very high on my list of favorites.
Summary: I was looking for a macro lens and planning for Canon 100mm Macro lens but that was going out of my budget so I started surfing multiple photography websites to find any other macro lens, comparable to Canon 100mm macro but with lower price tag. I read reviews of multiple Macro lenses from Canon, Sigma, Tamron and other brands and after reading review I found that Tamron 90mm Macro lens got good reviews.
Summary: Sharp lens. Good value for money. As soon as I received the lens started shooting anything small. Happy with the lens and I look forward to some great shots soon. AF hunts a bit in macro mode.
Summary: I own a Nikon D5100 and was looking for a macro lens for some time. The Nikon lenses being too expensive, the choice was between this one and Tokina. After researching online for a couple of months I finally decided to purchase this one. This is my first non-Nikon lens and I haven't been disappointed one bit so far. The lens is pretty easy to handle, the switch between auto and manual focus modes is quite smooth and of course the picture quality is to die for.
Summary: I was on the lookout for a mid range (zoom) Macro for my Nikon D40. I limited my comparison to Tamron 90 and Tokina 100, as the Nikons (both micro 105 VR and 85 VR) are beyond my budget. After careful study I had to drop the Tokina as it won't auto focus on cheaper Nikon bodies that doesn't have focus motor in the body.
Summary: This is a fantastic product. I have recently picked this product not from Flipkart. I was hunting for a Macro lense for a while for my Nikon 5000D. I had a couple of option that i was working on: One was Nikkor 60 mm 2.8 and third party lens. Offcourse, a Nikkor is no doubt a better deal to look out for as that would have been a better fit. But, cost does become an important criteria to look out for. That is when I checked out, Tamron 90mm 2.8...
Excerpt: Throughout the whole process of ordering this lens and waiting for arrival I was kept up to date about progress. I received very friendly and excellent customer service and the price was very competitive. I am happy to recommend this company and will shop here again.
Excerpt: I have read a lot of good reviews about Tamron 90mm and decided to buy it. This was my first ever purchase of an imported lens -- I was a bit concerned but the price was too good to resist. I was pleasantly surprised about how quickly everything was done. The lens was dispatched within a day and I have received it within a week from my order. Throughout the process, Smifu kept me well-informed regarding where the things are.
Excerpt: Ordered early in the week and it was with me for the weekend. Great lens with good all-round industry reviews. Would have bought the 60mm, but unfortunately Tamron don't provide that with a Pentax mount. SMIFU were helpful through the process and the price was good compared to NZ store price. Would recommend SMIFU to others for photo resources.
