Excerpt: I bought this lens because of the price and that I had a very good experience with my last Tamron lens. I have been using this for mostly still life and some portraits. It works perfectly and the image quality is spectacular.
Excerpt: OK, maybe not quite as fast as the comparable Nikon "cheap" f2.8 lens, but a good lens for the budget-conscious photographer who wants to get professional-quality shots without a high price tag. Great bokeh for portraits, wildlife shots, etc.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: The lens performed as expected and the some. Thus is not the VR version but I had no issues with stability and focus. The images are crisp and focus is spot on. The lens is a little heavy, but I knew that going into it. I would recommend this lens!
Excerpt: I love the look of this lens- discreet and no fancy buttons all over the place. Excerpt: Good lens for lots of things. I have a 16-50 2.8 and often wished I had more zoom. this fits the bill. works well for distance street shots and has a close focus distance for detail shooting. a little noisy but I knew that before I bought.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction

This lens is on-par for sharpness with the Nikkor glass, and far better than the Sigma, which is a mess in terms of aberration and...
Summary: Bought this product to shoot indoor basketball games. Lens does a satisfactory job. Be prepared to use a monopod as this model does not have image stabilization. Pros are that the price is cheap. Cons - this camera is not a Canon!
