Tamron 10-24 Sweet

13 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I started doing real estate photography. The outfit I work with requires that I be able to shoot with a 10mm focal length. Based on the available products and features, the choice came down to two, Nikkor or Tamron. I chose the Tamron mostly for price as the Nikkor was significantly more expensive.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight

Love this Lens!

  • Excerpt: Having grown tired of the "standard 18mm" width, I had to break out. I was missing way too much. I really weighed the Sigma 10-20 against this Tamron and I am so glad I went Tamron 10-24. It is like falling in love with photography all over again.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction

  • Excerpt: I got this lens primarily to open up my landscape photography field of view. I received the lens during one of the worst (weather-wise)winters I can remember and haven't ventured outside for long enough to try this lens out with landscapes yet.
  • Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light

  • Excerpt: I use this on my Nikon D7100 for wide-angle photos and the images come out sharp and clear. There are better lenses out there but this is good value for the money.

Great lens at a great price.

  • Excerpt: I needed a new wide angle for stadium shots and landscape. My former wide angle, a Sigma 17-35, never clearly focused on the right side of the images for some reason. I already owned 2 other Tamron lenses for my Pentax K-5 and K-5 IIs bodies, a 28-75 f2.8 and a 70-200 f2.8.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight

Great ultra-wide zoom lens

AJ, B&H Photo
6 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I have been using this lens to photograph landscapes and large outdoor fundraising events. It has excellent depth of field and angle of coverage that enabled me to get in close with a wide view. On an APS-C sensor it is the equivalent of a 15-36mm lens on a 35mm camera.
  • Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Good depth of field, Strong Construction, Wide Field Of View
  • Cons: Smallish F Stop
