Excerpt: The vibration control is excellent. I have been able to capture whisker sharp hand held pictures of animals at 300mm (450mm equivalent for my camera) from as far away as 50 yards. It also has been great for macro type photography. I have some nice pictures of sharply defined insects on flowers and other plants.
Pros: Consistent Output, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I am using a Canon T3 Rebel which is entry level of professional digital cameras. I have been taking pictures of the wild horses of Nevada and wanted some good close ups shots. I have been very happy with this lens as it zooms and makes nice clear images. I would suggest reading several reviews before making your purchase. While this is not a $ of $ lens it does a wonderful job for us that don't have the money to spend on high dollar lens.
Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I bought the Tamron SP 70-300 DI VC UDS telephoto lens after reviewing ever telephoto lens that would fit a Canon 70D and and decided to go for the most bang for the buck. Everything is a trade off in Photography but I am pleased with the shoots I'm getting. It's very sharp up to around 200 mm and still quite good to 300. I found it focuses best for me on single sensor, single shot modes through the viewfinder.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
Excerpt: Perfect for landscape, wildlife and sports or to just get those far-away shots you couldn't reach before with a different focal length. I great mid-range priced, full frame lens for those looking to upgrade from their kit lens.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I got this lens a week ago and am using it in a bit of a jerry-rigged fashion, since my camera is a Sony NEX 7 which does not have in camera stabilization. The Sony version of this lens would not work for me since it assumes in-camera stabilization. So I bought the Canon version and a Commlite EX-NEX adaptor to attach it to my camera. The lens behaves beautifully. My only issue is with autofocus, which is probably as much due to my configuration as it is to the lens.
Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Wanted to replace my Canon 70-300 EF 4-5.6 III because it didn't have image stabilization and I'm planning on trying my hand at some sports when football season comes around. The best part about this lens is probably the VC (image stabilization). You can see the image lock into place in the frame, so that you can take the picture. The lens is also pretty sharp, granted I've been experimenting with faster shutter speeds lately. Does a good job outdoors on a well lit day.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
Excerpt: It's a wonderful Lens! I love it. AF is fast and accurate, zooming is linear and precise. Up to 4 Stops Vibration Compensation allow to take pictures without tripod and it's very sharp all over.
Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
Bang for your buck Full Frame telephoto that works with Sony A7 with a commlite adaptor
