Exceptional quality

  • Excerpt: This Tamron SP 70-300 XLD is fantastic! I see no vignetting and no chromatic aberration and quality is quite sharp. For the price, I don't believe you'll find a better lens. Yes, it's heavy. Yes, it's large. But what do you expect? It's quality.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, No Chromatic Aberration, No Vignetting, Strong Construction

Great Lens at a Great Price

  • Excerpt: Based on my test shots, this lens is very sharp through the entire range. But the best capability of this lens is the vibration compensation. I can hand hold shots at full zoom and get very acceptable results whether on a full frame or cropped sensor camera.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction, Vibration Compensation

I'm Impressed

23 September 2015
  • Excerpt: I shoot the Canon 7D. I like nature photography. I read many reviews about this lens;compatibility with Canon; performance and price. I love it. I have a Canon 18-200mm that creeps all over the place. But this Tamron stays put.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Excerpt: Takes better pictures than my Canon lenses. I took this to a softball tournament and took some fantastic pictures. It focused fast and for a 4/5.6 it was bright and sharp. I haven't shot any night games yet (maybe tonight), but I will report back when I do.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Lens Creep

  • Excerpt: I chose this lens after reading many reviews and watching countless YouTube videos. I don't do tons of telephoto work, but just enough where I want a lens that's decent without being too expensive. I was also looking for something with an EF mount and stabilization. This lens fits the bill!
  • Pros: Amazing Stabilization, Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Sharp, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light, Zooms The Opposite Direct

Great lense for the money

JVB, B&H Photo
16 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I use this lens for most of my shootings. I love the zoom capabilities and the quality of the shot. The VC is magnificent and makes the shot possible when I can't use a tripod. It is a long and heavy lens to carry around but it is worth to take along due to its capabilities.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Heavy

Great Lens!

D-Rob, B&H Photo
12 May 2015
  • Excerpt: I bought this lens to use primarily outdoors for wildlife photography. A couple of weeks after purchasing the lens, however, I thought I would try it at work photographing a live theatre event. At distances of approximately 80 feet, I was able to get sharp, clear shots of the actors.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Heavy
