Excerpt: I am using the Tamron 70-300 VC USD lens with Canon 60D and am totally dissatisfied with the results. I did give the lens to the service center. They returned it "repaired" however the new results are no different. Have not been able to get any sharpness in the photos.
Excerpt: I've purchased this lens based on tons of favorable reviews. I am not sure I can trust any "independent" tests/reviews in the future. This lens is terribly soft. I tested its MTF50 values with Imatest Pro against my old Canon 15-85mm.
Excerpt: I ordered and received this lens, only to find that it seriously under-exposed. Adorama agreed the lens was mal-functioning and had me return and exchange it. Got the new lens, only to find it had the same problem. Called Tamron and their rep told me it must have been a "bad batch" of lenses.
Excerpt: I recently purchased lens from Adroama in a used verison. rated E+ after about 15 pics the lens quit working in long zoom. (above 200mm) erro message to clean lens contacts. did, still did not work. had lens 21 days. [...]will not buy Tamron or from Adroama again.
