Summary: Great Lens. Took it on a trip with 45 WWII Veterans (honorflightsouthflorida.org), colors very warm, great bohken effect when zoomed completely in with the ap set at 2.8. My first "aftermarket", won't be my last. Super Crisp focus, quick and quiet.
Summary: These are great lens. I´ve bought used but in mint condition item from Japan and I am really satisfied. Used about month and taken ca 2000 pics with it. Great bokeh and detailed quality. I have Canon D550 camera and going to change it for full frame D6 or D5 to get most light from lens. Good buy!
Summary: I compared the specs between this and the Canon 70-200 IS L series and the reviews and comparisons were very similar. The Canon edges out the Tamron very very slightly but for the $1000 difference, I decided to go with the Tamron. I am very happy with this lens. It appears to be tack sharp at most focal lengths with very little vignetting.
Excerpt: I love this lens! I have also have the Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC Zoom Lens and I love it too. Great lens for a great price. I use both my lens on my Canon Mark 5d III without any problems at all. The VC works wonderfully and the low light abilities are great!
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I photograph historic sites for my job and needed a lens that would allow me to shoot indoors where flash and tripods are not allowed. I've rented Canon's 70-200 f/2.8 IS and it's certainly a great lens, but a little outside my budget. I tried the Tamron version and I cannot see any difference in performance and image quality. The VC is astonishing! Hand-held the VC easily gains four stops and is perfect for indoor, low light situations.
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged
Summary: I have just started to use my new lens 2 outing at the Bronx Zoo. Took about 200 shots so far. I have used it at the bird house where the lighting is low. The shots are coming out even better then I expected. Before I was using Nikon 18-300 F3.5-F5.6 and found my shots to be sharp but darker then I wanted. Now more about the Tamron the built quality in my hands feels real good and the VC has been great.
