Excerpt: Tamron SP AF 2x Teleconverter is very good and very much serves the purpose. But if you are planning it to use it with moving objects, I will not recommend as the auto focus will keep searching for the subject with D5200
Excerpt: It will: Double your distance as well as your F-stop, while autofocusing in good light.
It won't: Focus well in stadium light or very quickly.
Still, I needed my 70-300 to be a 140-600 and it served that purpose
Summary: I've used this for years now; I purchased it about 7 years ago for a Canon 20D; I've since upgaded a few times but this still comes in handy. It is definitely durable - I cannot tell you how many stupid things I've done with it and it's still perfect.
Excerpt: If I could rate this a zero, I would. This does not AF with a Nikon D610 and Tamron lenses. If it does not AF, what's the point in having it? No one buys a tele for landscape. It's likely used for wildlife and things that move. It must AF or it's useless!!!
Don't waste your time on this, like I did.
Excerpt: four stars because i have only used it a few times, does work as expected.Shipping was same day, and arrived on time with no issues. It was well packaged. I would feel safe ordering more expensive product without worries.

Excerpt: Great photos with this teleconverter and an old 70-300 Nokkor lens. Auto focus works for almost all applications. Only need to switch to manual mode at 300 in low light. Other than that, it works fine.
