Can confirm that it works with the A7s with the ...

  • Summary: Can confirm that it works with the A7s with the LA-EA4 Adapter. Full autofocus. It makes the same noise when autofocusing that it did when it was a film camera lens. It's as sharp as anything I would expect at this price point.

  • Summary: An amazing lens, this packs every focal length you could need into one solid lens. I've used it for photojournalism and have produced some outstanding images. Sharpness is really good, AF speed is solid, and the lens is very compact when walking around.

Better than expected, even for Tamron

CZM, B&H Photo
23 July 2014
  • Excerpt: Good, all purpose walk around lens - can be used in almost any circumstance. Good sharpness through range. Just a bit "clunky" in autofocus at times, but nothing major. Still getting used to variations in depth of field through range but that is probably more a matter of practice than a problem with...

The perfect everyday lens

SJ, B&H Photo
21 July 2014
  • Excerpt: This lens is perfect for everything that I do. I live on a lake and when taking pictures of the wildlife, I am constantly going from close up to zoom and moving to stationary. This lens is actually the second Tamron 28-300mm lens I have bought.
  • Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light
