Cheap Superzoom

Land Cruiserman, Amazon
15 June 2011
  • Summary: This is a cheap walkaround superzoom. I bought it for vacations to put on my old D200 to take places I wouldn't want to take my nicer glass and cameras. Optics are decent, but the lens is soft towards longer focal lengths, and has an unremarkable f/3.5-6.3 range which still is in the ballpark of...

Good All Around Lens

Danielle, Amazon
2 May 2011
  • Summary: When I got this lens I was looking for something extremely versatile that I could use on the go so I wouldn't have to be switching out lenses constantly when I knew I'd be needing a broad range of focal lengths.

Looks nice, fair price, but a bummer... THAT IS...

Nanookh, Amazon
24 January 2011
  • Summary: I bought this lens for two reasons, 1) to have a multi-purpose lens for when I am on vacation and 2) the extra focal length up to 250mm (Nikon's equivalent stops at 200mm). Fortunately, the lens worked more or less fine during my trip to Indonesia.

Buen lente

Olga Lucia Pieros, Amazon
15 January 2011
  • Summary: Tenía este mismo lente pero marca Nikkon, me toco remplazarlo porque sufrió un golpe y se le daño el motor de autofocus. Me recomendaron la marca Tamron como una buena opción económica para reemplazo. Y !que buen lente!

Life is so much easier without having to switch lenses!

A. Mohmand, Amazon
9 December 2010
  • Summary: All dSLR owners I've known so far carry at least 2 lenses with them. These are usually the 18-55mm and 75-300mm zoom lenses. They spend half their time switching lenses which is not only a waste of time and effort, but also exposes the areas of the camera and lens you don't want to get dust on.

Great lens!

LJB "LJB", Amazon
31 October 2010
  • Summary: I am very happy with this lens. I other people's reviews before purchasing and I agree that when fully extended in telephoto auto focus doesn't work very well. But I can live with that. I love the versatility this lens gives me. I took it to the Getty Center and didn't have change lens all day.
