Excerpt: I have use TAMRON 18-200 in the past wit my SONYa37 with no problems and getting ECELLENT pictures. I decide upgrade my SONY a37 with the new SONY a77ii with a new TAMRRON 18 200. The Manual Focus in the lens it isn't working properly, the body lens doesn't have a focus switch to activate manual or Automatic Focus, and if you use the camera Focus switch in the SONY a77ii body for Automatic or Manual focus it is differ from the older SONY a 37 or 58 and the camera doesn't...
Excerpt: I have a couple of great telephoto lens but needed one for closer shots. This lens provides that and with the added benefit of still having the 200mm top end. Found most ranges of zoom to be crisp and clear for all of my uses. Great price besides.
Excerpt: Photography can be very expensive, I had picked this up four years ago when I purchased my Canon Rebel XS. I've never been one for the kit lens even when I was doing film photography.I'm a little late doing a review since I had upgraded to a Canon 50D and using a Sigma 17-70mm.But I will be using this lens to cover an event and since I won't be getting a prime lens (Canon EF 17-55mm f/2.8 or Canon EF 85mm f/1.8)not for a few weeks. It is a little heavy and does have lens...
Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I have several great fixed focal length lenses for my Sony DSLR, which I use when doing "serious" photography shooting landscapes, cityscapes, etc. However, while doing more "casual" everyday shooting, which may not need the highest image quality, I was getting tired of switching lenses and decided to get a wide-range zoom lens. This 18-200 mm lens (equivalent of 28-300 mm for 35 mm cameras) by Tamron seemed to fit the bill. My initial impression is very positive.
Pros: Great zoom range, High quality images, Inexpensive
Excerpt: I was very impressed with this lens when it arrived, its looks and functions were more than I expected. I purchased this lens to give to my Step-Daughter who has two small children that she loves taking pictures of! She only had an 18-50mm lens and she wanted something that she could use to get a little longer distant picture with but not give up the close-ups, this lens work perfect for her.
Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Strong Construction
