Willing to Try Again
R40 Photos, B&H Photo

Excerpt: I have to admit, the lens produced extremely blurry photos. B&H has told me to send it back in that the lens might be defective. I will do just that, but should I receive the same results, I will request a refund. Be advised, this is the only issue that I have encountered since dealing with B&H.
Summary: I purchased this lens because of the cheap price and the trust I have in Amazon. However, I'm surprised to know that Amazon is allowing is this vendor to sell unauthorized gray market items. The serial numbers on these lenses are compromised and are not recognized by Tamron.
Excerpt: Reviews said it was slow....it is But it also hunts for focus and when you finally get to take a picture, objects are out of focus. The focus range is great for a walk around lens but since it takes so long to focus or never really gets crisp and clear, you miss shots.
Excerpt: Simply not a lense anyone serious about photography would want to own. My first lense other than Nikkor and possibly my last. I bought it as a knock about lense when shooting things that aren't important enough to bring out a heavier, more professional lense.
Summary: i Got this lens as a christmas present and it ended up being catastrophic. The lens fit onto the camera fine but when you tried to use the auto focus it just doesnt work. The lens is not compatible with any NIKON that does not have the auto focus motor built into the camera in example the D40X.
