Summary: ....if you use the "right" camera, I'm using W1 model....it's only "excellent" if you intend to use....over a shorter distance then what you might "think" is appropriate(only 1.7x eh!) It makes very nice pictures....if you stay approx. no more then 13-15 feet away from your subject at full zoom/5.0 mpxl.....any lowers resolution then 5 mpxl....is just a waste of "film"...ahah.
Summary: This seller provided the item purchased, at the price specified within the scheduled timeframe for delivery. The telephoto conversion len purchased arrived in excellent condition, and fit my Cybershot Digital Camera perfectly. The price of the photo accessory I purchased from this seller was the lowest price offered by a number of sellers. Thank you for an outstanding deal.
Summary: The answer is that I cannot tell an appreciable difference in proximity. In addition, you need an adapter to use it and this has to be bought separately. I would not buy it if you expect to get much closer to the subject.
Summary: Well I enjoyed having this product and it was a great help for an outdoor trip I took. I was only disappointed when I could not zoom in very far away object though but nevertheless it was and still is a good product. If you want it do not hesitate to get one for yourself.
Summary: This telephoto lens works well with our DSC-W1. It MUST be used with the VAD-WA conversion adapter. The lens and adapter are both screw mount and can be left attached together. That way you only need to screw the lens "assembly" directly to the camera. No fuss. When you go full wide angle with the telephoto attached, there will be some corner darkening, but this can be fixed by zooming out a little. Pictures at full zoom are sharp. We are very happy with it.
