Excerpt: I thought long and hard about getting this lens. It's 50% more expensive than the Sony a6000 body, so it's not a small investment. But I took it, along with a 38mm, each attached to a Sony a6000 body, on a photo workshop in Cuba this spring. It's heavy. It's somewhat bulky. It is worth it? Yes!
Summary: I took this lens to London on vacation and it was perfect! It was light compared to traditional zoom lenses and even attached to my Sony a6000 was able to fit in a purse size camera bag that I carried around.
Best lens available for the Sony mirrorless APS-C cameras.

Summary: Optically very impressive for a lens of this range of focal lengths. Fit & finish is excellent. It's unfortunate that the lens is larger than the camera, but that's simply the nature of good optics and small mirrorless cameras.
Great lens....needs external flash attachment for NEX-6 to avoid shadow on picture.

Summary: Great all in one close and zoom lens. Takes excellent pictures. There is a problem, however, with the built in flash on the NEX 6 camera and this lens. The lens creates a shadow on the picture which is totally unacceptable to me.
Excerpt: This is the second SEL18200 that I've owned -- I rather foolishly sold my first one a couple of years ago, but I sure missed it, and thus I bought this new one. Extended-range lenses like this are always some kind of compromise, but the compromises in this lens are in how it is bigger and heavier...
Summary: This discusses the key advantages and disadvantages of this Sony emount lens. Overall this is a great all around lens that provides great photos in most situations. I use this lens for taking action photos at swim meets and the photos come out great. It is also perfect for portraits.
Excerpt: I work as a ski resort videographer, and this is my go too lens for action. Admittedly, its not as crisp as its Cannon and Nikon counterparts, but its autofocus is superb and works great at 240fps.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Reliable, Versatile
Summary: Amazing Lens! Takes Crisp Clear pictures throughout the zoom range and still manages very clear results at the far end too. Like other reviewers have said, You will experience lens creep if you don't use the lock button on the lens, but that doesn't bother me at all.
Excerpt: I am a retired pro, and moved to Sony e-mount system to reduce weight and space needs. Although this lens is fairly heavy, it's a great "one lens fits all" for travel, and very sharp, even at 200 mm. I was worried about speed of auto-focusing, as I have been frustrated by the Sony 55-210 kit lens.
Pros: Easy To Use, Reliable, Useful zoom range, Well Made
