Excerpt: I just had a baby boy in December and was taking a lot of photos using my Sigma 50mm macro lens, but he moved so fast, it was hard to get a clear shot. I found this one and it hasn't come off my camera since it was delivered. It is great for portriats.
Summary: When I'd did first purchase it from another seller, he try to sell one with a micro scratch but said it was a refurnished item when it wasn't. Then the second lens I've purchase it from Sony and happy to report that I am please with the results of the images from this lens.
Summary: Awesome lens. I have used it on alpha 37. Perfect for portrait and pretty good in the dark ambience. Just be careful being 55 mm can't get a wider coverage though! You may also wanna look for 1.8 in 35 mm for wider coverage but will lose a tiny bit of blurriness in d background!
Excerpt: I use this for photos and video. It has very smooth auto-focus and is generally pretty quiet. The photos are very sharp and look great. It is a great quality lens. The only thing I found wrong with it was that the mounting ring on the lens is not completely metal.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
Summary: I love this lens. Very sharp pictures when I watch what I'm focusing on. This is a prime lens so no zooming with it, you have to walk around to get your subject framed. Indoor shooting is really great, no more yellow tint to my pictures in low light. Portraits are a breeze.
