Sony SAL75300 75-300mm f4.5-5.6 lens review

Camera Labs
1 January 2007
  • Summary: The Sony 75-300mm is a very useful addition to the standard DT 18-70mm kit lens, greatly extending the available range to include powerful telephoto facilities. This makes it ideal for portraits, sports and wildlife photography, or simply getting closer to any distant subjects. In terms of build and optical quality, the 75-300mm is roughly equivalent to the DT 18-70mm kit lens, so while it will extend your focal range, it won’t be a step-up in terms of overall quality.
  • Pros: 4x telephoto zoom, complements kit lens., Budget price especially in twin lens kit., Anti-shake thanks to A100 body., Lens hood included.
  • Cons: Soft in extreme corners when zoomed-out., Slow and noisy focusing., End section rotates while focusing., Anti-shake less effective at 300mm in our tests.

Sony SAL75300 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Zoom Lens

1 September 2010
  • Summary: A lightweight tele-zoom lens with an excellent price/performance ratio.Sony's SAL75300 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lens partners the 18-70mm kit lens in some twin-lens kits. Compatible with both APS-C and 35mm 'full frame' Alphas, on the A55 body we used for our tests it provided focal lengths equivalent to 112.5-450mm in 35mm format.
  • Pros: You want an affordable and versatile tele-zoom lens for a Sony DSLR body. Don't buy this lens if :, You'd like a lens that requires no readjustment when you fit polarisers and graduated filters., You require high resolution at all focal lengths, along with good flatness of field.

Sony 75-300 mm F4,5-5,6 objektív

5 June 2009
  • Summary: Egy Sony tele zoom az Alpha rendszer indulásának idejéről.

Długoogniskowe zoomy do lustrzanek Sony - Sony 75-300 mm F4.5-5.6, część 1.

3 December 2008
  • Summary: Pod względem optycznym obiektyw wypadł niespodziewanie dobrze, zwłaszcza biorąc pod uwagę prostotę konstrukcji optycznej. Jedynie rozdzielczością ustępuje najlepszym na rynku, ale pod innymi względami może się z nimi równać. To rzadkość w przypadku obiektywów z dolnej półki. Z obsługą jest już znacznie gorzej, ale trudno wymagać więcej od obiektywu za kilkaset złotych.

Sony 75-300 mm

24 October 2008
  • Summary: The Sony 75-300 mm is a lens with a low price and fairly good optical performances, as evidenced by our Sony 75-300 mm test. The price / quality ratio of this lens is thus high. The noisy autofocus is just too bad.
  • Pros: Light and compact, Inexpensive, Low burden of flare
  • Cons: Noisy autofocus, Lower resolution at the longest focal length, Somewhat sensitive to chromatic aberration
