Excerpt: Just an excellant all round lens which could have been made better if the focus was quite. When you pay $ for a lens, you do not expect to hear the lens focus noise. Nice compact lightweight design.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Summary: This is a good walk around lens for A900. I was debating between CZ 24 70, this lens and Tam 28 75. Finally settled on this one because: 1. Zeiss is only marginally better than this one and I thought the cost difference does not justify it. 2. Tamron version of this lens does not have SAM motor.
Pros: Good color reproduction, sharp, constant aperture, build quality
Excerpt: Used the lens for about 1000 photos on vacation in London. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Pics were clear and color was outstanding. seems to be well built, and looks like it will last. Focus is quick and quiet. Be aware of the weight. Only con is it sometimes had trouble finding focus in low light.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Summary: I am a very amateur photographer. Very avid reader and shooter. Have a small personal studio. Been hooked on Sony, will probably continue to purchase every new Sony product. Love the user interface, very consistent on upgrades.
