Summary: Very sharp and fast lens. Only issue is the bokeh quality; it is not the best, but not bad enough to turn away from this lens. For me, it stays on my camera most of the time, and I use it for most of my photography.
Excerpt: I shot a wedding in Sansepolcro, Italy with this lens on a Sony A7r camera. Its ability to perform well in low light saved me because I couldn't use a flash during mass. The images were soft but presentable in the dingy light of the catherdral but outside the images were spectacular.
Pros: Close Up Great, Easily Interchangeable, Low Light Capability, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction, TACK SHARP
Excerpt: I rented this lens, because a shoot came up and I needed some superior images. I wasn't sold on all the type of the Zeiss lenses. I was have severe buyers remorse for buying my A65, as the images just haven't lived up to my expectations, and was seriously considering trading it in on a Canon.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Incredible images, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Summary: Crisp clean and sharp. Great lens for all around photography. Very heavy at about 2lbs. Makes you feel like a pro. Easy to use MF as well. Color is a bit different than what previews on the screen.
