• Summary: This is by far my favorite lens in my gear bag, and mind you I have a 70-200 G Series in there too!
 • Pros: Image quality
 • Cons: For the price, a bag would have been nice..

VERY Bad

joaoalfa-pt, Ebay
10 June 2013
 • Summary: Hi Are they kidding me? Since the beginning of the purchase, I was swindled, immediately began to complain, I have not received the lens and not the money and EBAY is still playing? I have not received the lens, the lens actually bought the Lords whose image send, but not receive the lens and not the money. For me, I'm just dealing with people not serious, it generally is called crooks. I appreciate my money back. Thank you. Hi Será que estão a gozar comigo?

One I Just Had to Have

SLUF1354, Sony
17 December 2012
 • Summary: In my old Minolta MC/MD days, I had the Minolta incarnation of this lens and loved it. Granted in many ways it's a creative toy sort of lens, but I still find myself using it even at inappropriate times ("Hang on. Just let me grab a quick shot of this with the 16."). Every exposure has the potential to be a visual adventure waiting to happen and bring a smile to someones face.
 • Pros: There is no substitute. Period.
 • Cons: Odd lens cover/bag arangement.

Worth the money.

Bootstrap chadwick, Sony

 • Summary: I use this lens with my A900 and it works perfectly. Fantastic shots possilbe. Rapid focus. Decent corner quality. Very hard not to get your fingers and feet into the picture. Hilareous close ups. Once you've run the image through curvature correction you'll see how great it is to have. Makes interiors look huge, would be great for real estate sales. Perfect lens for when you can't get far enough away, like in a car or small room.
 • Pros: Superb lens all around.
 • Cons: Stupid lens cap bag thing.

 • Excerpt: getting good clear pictures from it an an a850. very wide angle and nice fish eye distortion. just be aware of the type of lense you are buying here.

only negative is the front of the lens is exposed more than usual. I guess the bag you get for protection works, but it is a little odd.

Sony 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye SAL-16F28 review by sanctum

sanctum, slrgear.com
14 November 2010
 • Summary: Got this as a hand-me-down. The fisheye is interesting, but gets tedious very quickly. The IQ isn't that great, and f2.8 isn't really fast either. I'd want more for this price. 16mm isn't really wide enough to justify getting a fisheye.
 • Pros: small, wide angle
 • Cons: not really that wide
