This lens frustrate me!

Valter Jacinto, Amazon

  • Summary: For portraits and flowers it's a great lens. But for small insects, like plume moths, it's terrible! - With auto-focus the lens is always searching for the moth... - With manual focus, everything is out of focus! I have to take several shots for 1 to be good!

Sony 100mm f/2.8 Lens on Konica Minolta 7D

re-creativity, Ebay
26 February 2011
  • Summary: Like: f/2.8 allows more light for higher shutter speeds Dislike: Noisy Slow to focus Uses more battery power than SSM and/or G series lenses Expensive. Does not Continuously autofocus for moving objects. Detail is poor even at full program mode, extra fine, high quality, large images Reason for purchasing - wanted an F/2.8 lens to be able to shoot at higher shutter speeds - birds in flight. Quality of photos - okay but not cropped.
